Jenny Detra has been making music her living since the age of seventeen. Signed to the Silver Dollar Record Label , Jenny recorded her first album, "Chain of Hearts" with producer Bob Millsap (You Needed Me/Lesson in Leavin') and Rodney Dillard, co-founder of The Dillards, a band dubbed by Billboard Magazine as "The fathers of country-rock music". Jenny's second album, "Dance in Your Dreams" was also produced by Bob Millsap. Jenny's most recent project is her self-titled CD. Jenny composed all but one of the tunes and the result is sassy, yet soulful . The recording was produced by Tommy Martin who managed and produced the Grammy nominated jazz-rock group "Chase". Legendary Nashville session keyboardist, David Briggs co-produced the CD. David is known as Elvis's piano player and has recorded with B.B. King, Roy Orbison, Eric Clapton and Joe Cocker to name a few. David and Tommy are both from Muscle Shoals, Alabama , and bring that Southern Rock, Muscle Shoals R&B background to the record. David assembled an A list team of session players including Larry Paxton, bass, who was nominated for the CMA Musician of the Year in 2004 and has played with everyone from George Jones to Joe Cocker, Steve Turner, one of Nashvilles finest drummers, is currently touring with Dolly Parton. Danny Parks, lead guitar has played with Amazing Rhythm Aces and Dickie Betts among others, and is a sought after session player. Fred Newell, guitar, was on Nashville Now for years and is recognized as one of Nashville's finest guitarists. "Jenny Detra" is a collection of rootsy, soulful gems that take the listener on a guided tour through the many sides of life and love. It is as emotionally complete and satisfying as any recording could hope to be.
